History: Amber was part of the second litter of Balto and Jenna. Out of all her siblings, she was the last to make  a name for herself. Amber was the one that others would have gasped out the revelation of her being Balto's daughter. She hated the attention that she got from her heritage and made sure to put plenty of space between herself and her parents.

On adoption day, Amber was the first to be picked up by a newly wed couple. Amber never felt at home there, although the couple took very good care of her and loved her deeply. But nine months later, Jenny was born. Amber connected with the newborn instantly even though she was almost an adult herself. Because of her strained relationship with her parents (whom at this time Amber avoided at all costs) Amber never understood the father/daughter relationship Jenny had with her Dad, but Amber refused to stray from her young owner's side.

The safe little world that Amber lived in was torn to pieces a year and a half later. Jenny's parents were divorced and splitting the dog and their daughter up. The mother refused to leave the house because they had bought it from her mother, so the father and Jenny (who was only around 18 months) moved all the way to Fairbanks. Amber didn't want to leaver her distraught mistress, whom she'd come to care for, but she could only stay a month before going to her older brother, Kodi, for help. The mailteam brought her as far as White Mountain, and from there, she hitch-hiked her way to Fairbanks through other sled teams. After three weeks of traveling, Amber finally found herself at Jenny's doorstep. Despite angry calls from his ex-wife, Jenny's father decided that if Amber had come all that way to Fairbanks, she must really want to stay with Jenny. And so she would.

No longer being in Nome, Amber spent much more of her time out in the streets, meeting a lot more dogs than she had ever known before. Two of them that were the most important were her two best friends, Lucy and Lewis. The two had been friends since they were pups, and Amber easily fit into their little group. She talked  alot more with Lewis than Lucy, and he was the on who finally made Amber reveal her past. Lewis promised to keep it secret that she was Balto and Jenna's daughter, but he also told her that she should repair her relationship with Lewis. Although Amber agreed, she didn't travel back to Nome.

Instead, she deepened her relationship with Lewis and he brought a confident girl out of a shy one. Eventaully, he was able to get her to sing in front of a group. Singing was a secret talent she had that she only shared with Lewis. It wasn't unexpected that they finally became mates (mostly after Lucy's conversation with Amber telling her that she wasn't going to be young forever, and she was already pushing it at the age of four).

The couple soon traveled back to Nome because Amber was finally taking Lewis's advice to make up with her parents. She wanted to get there was soon as possible because she knew her parents were almost ten and years after that are unexpected. She also wanted to share the news of her pregnancy with her siblings and parents.

Amber and Lewis spent a week in Nome and stayed in Jenna's house the last night. That night, Amber suddedenly went into labor. It was a complication neither Amber or her mate had expected. They realized it would be too dangerous to move the pups while they were so young, so they decided to stay with Jenna for the next few months. Lewis sent word through the Mail Teams of Alaska to Lucy of the events.

After those first sixth months, Amber and Lewis made plans to return to Fairbanks. Some of the pups stayed in Nome and found homes there, but Amber also took some of them back to Fairbanks for adoption.

Personality: Amber has always been independant, but also not highly socailable. She doesn't have low self-esteem, but she also isn't proud of herself either. The only thing she is proud about is her voice, which is quite lovely. She is flirty in that sweet and quiet type of way. She is a lot more talkative once she becomes good friends with somone (Lucy and Lewis will vouch for that!) Amber also enjoys a solid home-life to a nomadic one. She is very attentive and notices little things that others don't.
