Personality: Vatani is a very sweet female. She has a slight temper, and loves having debates. She is a vicious fighter when she needs to be, which means that if you do get on her bad side, you probably won't live to see the next morning. She's very sociable, coming in handy as she often travels to other packs to make deals and set up meetings. She is also extremely protective, and when someone threatens her family she 'picks a war' as her name says. She is the oldest female, and co-rules with her big brother Balto.

Story:

Vatani was born second, the firstborn daughter and delight of everyone who would meet her. She led a happy life, and it always stayed in her heart, since that happiness vanshied on her second month born. Her mother dies, father dies soon after. Even as their father's body cools, Balto seems to harden. For, as the Royal Law decrees, they must now be sent away, to different Clans. That very night, Balto herds the gang of eight into the night, away from the threat of seperation and into uncertain times. They find a cave some measure away, and as seven fall asleep exausted from the running and the trama, she notices Balto goes out into the darkening skies and brings back food later.

But there is a reason young wolves are not allowed extensively outside until four months of age- their fur is still newborn like- fluffy and unsheltering. In a week of being alone, the octuplets are unable to go out and hunt at all. It doesn't take very long for malnourished puppies to be groaning about, and worst of all is Vatani. Days pass, and she gets so weak she slides into a coma. The others are bad, but not nearly like her. More time passes, and Balto watches his sister waste away. It has snowed so much that he can't even get out into the open now, and they all might have died if water hadn't dripped down into a small hole in the cave floor. As a last resort, and brilliant idea, Balto slashes his tail open and feeds Vatani the blood. For two weeks he did this, and at last she awoke.

They make it on their own, finally. Things set them all back, but eventually all eight become strong in mind and body. Balto refuses to return to his home pack, and so Vatani goes and rules, telling her brother he can come take his place anytime.  At one point he does, but makes it clear that he wishes to live in that old boat his parent used for courting. So, when he is away, Vatani will rule. All major decisions will be through him, however.

A few more years pass with nothing unusual, then she discovers something delightful: Balto has just won the favor of the townfolk by bringing the serum in! To top it all off, she's pregnant! This is tainted with sadness, as her wonderful husband had dove into the ice for Balto that night and drowned, unable to find his mate's brother. She tells her family the news, then as a month and a half passes fear blasts through her one day- Balto's wedding day- that pains are coming and the Douka (Doctor)warns the yellow wolfess to stay still. She sends for Balto, but when the messenger wolf arrived, it was too late. Varronk arrived only minutes later, carrying a tiny child in his mouth. 

The bright yellow pup sent Balto to his stomach. Varronk explained to the stunned dogs that Vatani was dying and she had given her son to Balto, knowing he would guard the babe with his life. Balto apologizes to Jenna and blasts off into the woods, going to his sister and managing to stop the bleeding, then repeating his actions from so long ago and ripping his tail open. It takes six months, but she at last is strong enough that Balto can return home and marry the girl he loves. She still wants him to raise her child, and so she continues her duties until she finds a young female orphan in need of a family, and raises Elliria until  dying in her old age.

Distinguishing Features: A light mask aroung her eyes, a pale stripe on the left side of her body. Muzzle tip is lightly colored, origins from her ancestors somewhere.
