personality: fun lover and very hyper. he is very jittery and jumpy and has a pretty short attention span. Atka is the only one who Reggie pays attention to. Reggie considers Atka to be his big (very big) brother.

history: not much is known, but he was bought from a pet shop by a boy who is obsessed with video games. Reggie found the boy also had two dogs (Atka and Gunner). Gunner didn’t much care about Reggie but Atka loves rodents so he and Reggie became fast friends. Atka and Gunner often go off with their sled team, which is owned by the boy’s uncle. Reggie just sits at home and sulks until Atka comes home. When Atka is home, Reggie often rides on Atka’s back and the two explore the town. Reggie likes that Atka would rather spend time with him then other dogs. Reggie has trouble remembering a lot of things, including Atka’s name. So Reggie refers to him as “Dog”.

Other: Reggie’s speech is a bit broken. Instead of saying “Atka is my best friend” he says “Dog is friend of Reggie, the best!” he speaks in third person and some find it hard to piece together what he’s saying, but Atka has no trouble translating.

Other (cont.): that is not a collar on Reggie’s neck. That is just a piece of blue string that’s tied loosely around his neck. He put this on himself when he saw Atka got a new collar. Reggie wanted to be just like him, since he couldn’t find a collar, the string was the best he could come up with.

Relation to Balto: Reggie loves Balto, often calling him “Hero dog”. Reggie has Atka tell him Balto’s story all the time. Reggie even meets Balto once when he got lost outdoors. Atka, Reggie’s best friend, is also on Steele’s son’s sled team.
