History: Karimah has always lived in Alaska near the Bearing Straight. She was born into a very weak pack who suffered from diseases and famine, but young Karimah decided that she'd be the one to change her pack's history; her determination resulted in her growing up into a young and strong wolf. Around two years of age, Karimah left her dying pack to find her own destiny and she wandered farther away from her original home. After months of wandering along the coast of Alaska, a heavy snow storm formed and Karimah ran into a black wolf named Niju; he had been exiled from his pack for causing various fights amongst the members, and he let Karimah live with him until the storm passed. It took about three days for the blizzard to cease and at least five more days for the snow melt. Karimah left Niju only to stay around his territory perimeter due to the fact that she didn't feel like traveling any further. The two wolves saw each other a lot and they soon found out more about each other; Karimah soon warmed up to Niju and trusted him. A few months later, when spring came, Niju tried to get Karimah to become his mate. Karimah turned down the offer but Niju wasn't taking ‘no’ for an answer; the black wolf forced Karimah into his cave but, before he could touch her, Karimah pushed past him and fled into the woods. Niju caught up with her and pinned her down; however, a large group of wolves appeared and their leader, Nava, forced Niju to back off. After she watched Niju flee angryly into the woods, Karimah thanked Nava for his help and the old wolf allowed her to stay and she automatically became part of the pack.
Though Karimah was protected by Nava's wolves, Niju still tried to get to her, he tried everything he could to keep Karimah form getting a mate; if he couldn't have her, no one could. Karimah always kept her distance from the black wolf in fear that he would try to get to her again but she always felt protected by her pack members. That secure feeling evaporated when she found out that Niju had somehow become part of the pack, and she kept her distance as much as possible.
Unfortunately, one night, after the entire pack had settled down, Karimah went out of the pack's territory to the lake near the woods. After getting a drink of water, Karimah was confronted by Niju who successfully chased her back to his cave and she blacked out of fear. The young wolf was so traumatized by the event that she slipped out of unconscious.
The next morning, Karimah awoke to find a dead hare lying near the entrance of the cave; though she knew Niju had left it for her, she ate it anyway. Karimah ran back to her pack and, in tears, prepared to tell her closest friends what had happened, but she was stopped by Niju who said that, though he had assaulted her, he prepared to father their pups. Karimah believed Niju because, after they had mated, she saw how caring he had become and he admitted his custody of taking care of the pups and the wolf had taken care of her all throughout her pregnancy. The next few weeks passed and Karimah gave birth to five puppies. She wanted to call Niju, who hadn't been there for their pups' birth, to her den, but she soon found out that her supposed-to-be mate had left the pack the night before she gave birth. Heartbroken and feeling betrayed, Karimah raised her pups by herself and prayed that she'd never have to see Niju again and that her babies would never become like their father.
