Eclipse soon went into heat and had every male dog chashing after her and getting into fights to be her mate. One day, a wolf-dog named Tyson appered in Fairbanks without notice, and smelled Eclipse's scent He followed the scent into an alleyway where he found a gang of dogs fighting in front of Eclipse. Tyson tried to sneek around them to get to Eclipse, but was stopped and draged into the fight. Tyson won, but lost sight in his left eye. Eclipse ran up to him and licked Tyson's face. Tyson returned the kisses. Eclipse and Tyson ran away to the outskirts of the city and stayed in Tyson's cave during the chilly night. Three days later, Eclipse and Tyson mated and, the next month, Eclipse gave birth to five puppies. The eldest looked like a Tyson while the other four looked like a mix between Eclipse and Tyson.
