Yeah, Iran is in the U.N, every nation that has a vioce in the world does. And your right. The U.N is a joke. They dont do ANYTHING to help out the world. Like the E.P.A, they dont do anything for what they are supposed to do.

One could only wish, but it's human nature, but now we have the technology for war to be much, much worse than just iron and blood. By that fact, peacetime will be longer, and wars will take a lot more effort to start than the rest of history, but eventually that time will run out. Although personally, I dont think the world will go into a nuclear apocoypse as most people say. Maybe one nuke (God, I hope not) but not the entire world.

People go to war because they want something, not to destroy it. Like in Cold War, when Russia had their nuclear threat, it was a waiting room for the first to launch the missle. Both the U.S and Russia waited for the other to launch, but neither came. Why? Both Russia and America wanted something from them, they knew the consequences, and just simple common sence. If say Russia launced their missle, America will see it, and launch their's. BOOM. Both countries, and the entire world is dead... Also for example, if China attacks America, they want our money, land and reasources, not just simply to kill us. We own 1/4 of their entire economy. If they lose our money, there will be a HUGE depression for them.

I see your piont with Iran though, but someone is going to have to say something eventually. I know Israel will. Iran only has a nuclear program that we know of, I dont think they actually have any nukes yet. Hope I'm right on that one...

I've always been interested in politics, history, literature and culture. I was thinking about going into the political field, but like what Machievelli and I said. Power, wealth, and fame are men's biggest damnations.

Isreal was the land where Moses in the Book of Exodus brought the Hebrews from Egypt. Then somewhere in the 9th century, I believe, although I could be wrong on the date, the Palistinians, who were Muslim, took it over, and has been under their control since the Ottomans and Persians did (excluding the Christians in the Crusades). Both were also Muslim. Judism has always been the minority religion in Isreal for all those years until finally after WWII, we gave the Jewish their own nation. The Palistinans continue to think that Isreal is theirs as technically, back during the years of Moses, only trides had inhabitated it (that we know of in archological history). It is a controversial arguement, yes, but I support Isreal all the way, and if United States continue to be as cowardly as they are and deal with the Iranian threat, the Isrealies will. They dont take any of this terrorism crap. In their airports they bring into a cement room filled with magnetic fields, and if you have a explosive device on you, it will detonate.

Oh, by the way. Did you know in the U.N, they made Iran one of the leading nations for Woman's Rights groups and yet IN Iran they stone woman, and then bash their heads with cynder blocks for the final blow just because they refuse to marry who their family wanted them to marry. Yeah... REAL smart United Nations.

Mahmound Ahmadinejad (Iranian President) has said multiple times in public thathe wishes to wipe Isreal off the face of the Earth. And I agree with you, nuclear weapons are too dangerous. Unfortunatly we wont get rid of them unless our enemies are willing to also, oterwise, we are too vulnerable. At the time in WWII, the atomic bomb was perfectly neccisary, it saved millions of American lives. And IF America never made the atomic bomb, the Germans or Japanise would have, and we all know how that'll end up...

Personally I'm more worried about our own government. China won't attack us until we stop giving them money since we are 1/4 of thier entire economy (I'm wrting a book about that event occuring). Russia is turning more Capitalist than America right now. And my biggest worry is Iran with their nuclear weapons, if it's not Isreal they attack, it's either Europe or us.

If the governemnt try to take away the guns, which they have several times within this administration, then we really are screwed. And if (for some miricle) America stops their spending to China, and possible threat of invasion, and if such an event ever takes place, then your right, we're defenceless civilianwise.

Not to mention, this administration has been screwing over all of our allied nations. Like giving no recognition to Isreal for the help in Iraq, and when their Prime Misnister came to the White House, Obama just treated him as if a rival. And with Britain, one of the first thing Obama did was get rid of the Whinstin Churchill bust that ws in the White House and said to give it back to the Brits, as it was gift from them after WWII. And when they visited the queen, Michelle gave her a hug, like they were collage friends, and to the queen of England, that is SOOO rude. And many others to them, and now they are not invited to Prince William's wedding next month .

I think it`s more that they owe US, like how Haiti owes us, once they get back on their feet. The only people that have shown huge partnerships with us is Britian, after we gained independence from them, they slowly came back to us, and they`ve been at our sides on the frontlines ever since.

No kidding. That was why they put it number two. Without civilians having arms, it leaves them defenceless against their government. Just look at Germany, China and Russia when they took away their guns, look what happened then...

Man, I agree with you, racism gets me going also. I'm a Protestant, but I have the tendancy to follow Catholic and Jewish tradions and use Toaist and Buddhist philosophy in everyday life.

Yes indeed! A lot of countries owe us some gratitude for the Army's sacrifices. We've always been like a big brother or sister to many countries, stepping in when everyone else was in trouble, despite Washington's begging to keep ourselves guarded from getting involved in squabbles that weren't our own.
