You decide to explore this place on your own instead. There were many twists and turns around here and it seemed very easy to get lost. You continued to move on, searching for a way out of this strange place. While sitting down for a rest, you hear a thunderous roaring in the distance. Curious, you travel towards the sound. Mist began to stick to your fur and cause dampness. Revealing itself through the trees was a great waterfall. You realize that you were thirsty from all of the travel and begin to lap at the cool water. It was refreshing, but as you open your eyes to see into the water you discover fish. A LOT of fish. Your stomach began to rumble with hunger. You've never been one to fish but decided to give it a try anyway. You wade into the water a bit and feel a pull at the water. This was one strong current. However, you took your chances and tried diving for some fish. You manage to finally catch one, making a large jump and snatching it. You pop out of the water with your meal and become confused at the scenery around you. Have you... drifted? You don't remember getting this far away from your resting spot. You suddenly realize you're slowly drifting in the water. Startled, you turn around and slip. The current swipes you from the shallow ground and you're forced to swim. In your struggle to stay over the water you drop your fish. Knowing you'll need all of your concentration to get through this you leave the fish behind and hurredly swim toward the edge of the river. However, the current is very strong. Flailing, you try to get as much air as possible while the ever growing rapids toss you around. Thankfully this river didn't have sharp and hazardous rocks about to cause harm on you. The rapids took you under a bit, but while you were under you caught sight of a brach sticking out underwater. You allow yourself to drift forward and then grab hold of this branch, using every last bit of strength to pull yourself off. Choking up water and exhausted, you lay by the edge of the river. This was one wild adventure. As night began to fall you still lay there, still exhausted and not knowing what to do or where to go. Should you just give up, or keep moving? |
