didn’t want that I’m sure, plus I just kissed you, that wasn’t okay to do while you’re upset.”
Meph was still a moment before he stood up shakily, giving Elliot a kiss back so their lips were pressed together. Elliot blinked as he pulled away, giving a nervous smile. “I think I can deal with it if you can.” The young hound replied.
The older mutt stared at him a moment, putting two and two together. “So you… Liked the kiss?”
“Er…. Yeah…”
“And you don’t care I’m…”
“I’d guess I am too since I gave ya one back.”
Elliot thought a bit longer before moving forward slowly and nuzzling Meph’s cheek. “Come on, we look like we just went through a wood chipper, let’s go get cleaned up.” He said as he ducked under Meph’s foreleg and started to help him walk so they could get to the park to the fountain to start getting cleaned up.
The younger of the two was still a bit shaky and upset, but he felt warmth in him being held up by Elliot, glad to be so close to him. His ears were a bit red, and he was about to speak before Elliot said it for him. “I won’t tell anyone you broke, don’t worry. And we’ll tell them when you’re ready, not any sooner.”
“… Thanks.” Meph looked ahead, smiling slightly.
“And for the record,” Elliot looked at him, giving a smile himself, “it was a tie.”
The two went to the park, hopping into the fountain and starting to clean each other’s cuts and bruises up. They washed out their fur, cleaning out the matted areas and dabbing at any wounds they saw so they wouldn’t get infected. They had a small splash fight with their tails before hopping out, starting to head home, Elliot still supporting his younger mate.
Meph knew neither of them had the strength to get up the stairs when they got back, so he offered to just be left in the kitchen while Elliot went to his room. The older mutt, however, wouldn’t allow it, walking the young canine to his room and helping him up onto his bed, joining him.
Elliot rested by Meph, the younger hound scooting closer to him. He rested his head on Elliot’s neck, shutting his eyes and starting to sleep. Despite their sores, they slept easy with each other, getting all their negativity out in that fight to relax for once. And when they were woken up in the morning, Meph had to stumble a bit to explain that he was too tired to head upstairs and he had just moved in the night, Elliot assuring he was on the other end of the bed when they had gone to sleep.
