Name: Melanie Slumdog [Mel]
Gender: Female
Age: Young Teen
Personality: Around her family, she’s definitely at her best. She’ll be brave, courageous, and unafraid. Her build and stature can make sure of that. Without anyone around, however, things can get a little quiet. She becomes ever so afraid, shy, and nearly unapproachable. Though she’ll always try her best to stand proud and tall. Either way, though, she’s always loving and willing to care. Beware if you want her immediate trust, though, because she’s not always so willing to give it.
History: Unlike some of her siblings, Mel never really liked her uncle Andrew. She thought he got enough attention as it was for just being a coward and having good status. And when she found out of Abyssus’ death at Andrew’s paws, this made her even angrier.
You could say Mel hated her own uncle, but this wasn’t really the case. She just didn’t think he deserved half of the praise he got. This is why she didn’t get along too well with Sam. Although she loved her family dearly, and could never be angry at any one of them for long.
When she was growing up, she began to notice a change in her own personality. Anytime she was around the ones she trusted and the ones she knew, her family, her friends, etc. she was fine. She could be her usual brave, curious self. However, when she was alone, this wasn’t how she felt.
She became scared and shy, even slightly gullible. And this became a problem.
One night, Mel had just parted ways with her family and a few of their friends. She was going to go get something they needed and head straight back. But a few mangy mutts who were looking for trouble, Bane, Ashton, and Philip, found her before her personality was done transitioning. She stood her ground for a while, as they cornered her with growling muzzles and snarling eyes, but after a while, she could feel her own fear start to creep in.
She would have cried out for help, but was too scared to do that, either. She backed up against the corner in pure terror. And then the dogs attacked her.
She nearly died that day, but was saved because it wasn’t her time to go. Annabelle made sure of that. She came home almost crawling, and waited there until her brother, Meph, noticed her and ran to go get their parents.
After a few weeks she eventually healed, but it was tough to say the least. From that terrible experience she realized that she needed to straighten out. If she had been braver on her own, she wouldn’t have gotten hurt period. And so, she started to try.
It eventually got better over time, but she still needs to work on it.
For now, at least, she still hangs out with her family and a few friends. She’s careful not to give her trust to too many dogs, though. Because that could lead to trouble also.
